Day Two Highlights
The shows second day came to an end with visitors enjoying a whole range of exciting features, including our century of supercar winner the McLaren F1.
Former racing driver, John Fitzpatrick was a special guest on our Live Stage presented by Goodwood Road & Racing, hosted by Henry Hope-Frost. He delighted guests with stories about the many titles he’s acquired over the years and was also signing copies of his new book My Life in Racing.
Le Mans winner and experienced engineer Alastair MacQueen got proceedings underway on the live stage Saturday morning. He discussed what it’s like to be a Le Mans winner and all the details of his knowledgeable engineering background and one of the greatest saloon car drivers Steve Soper discussed his illustrious motorsport career. TV presenter Alain de Cadenet and Motorsport journalist Simon Taylor discussed to enthusiastic visitors stories from their respected industries.
With the V8 GT greats hitting 50 this year, the Jensen Owners’ club showed off The Jensen Interceptor and FF in all its glory and showed why they are still so popular to this day. These took to the closed surrounding roads leading up to Alexandra Palace in two parades.
Coys of Kensington put the hammer down on a catalogue of iconic vehicles, which saw a number of jaw dropping cars being driven away by the budding bidders.
